Bramhall Methodist Church (Bramhall is about 15km south of Manchester).

23 Bramhall Lane South, Bramhall, Stockport, Cheshire, SK7 1AL

It's better for the environment if you can come on foot, by bike (we have a small bike rack outside and can accommodate more bikes safely inside if we need to) or on public transport. Bramhall station is 200m away and you can find more details about train services at this link. Most bus services to or through Bramhall stop just outside the church and you can find full details at this link. (most stop almost outside our front door).

There is unlikely to be any space in our very small church car park so please don';t try to park there. The map below shows three car parks within 200m of the church that generally have space on Saturday afternoons (all are pay and display).

2pm to 5pm on Saturday afternoons with a Seminar Dinner in a local restaurant at 7pm for those who'd like to continue the conversation.

  • September 28th
  • October 5th and 19th
  • November 2nd and 16th
What is a seminar?

Each seminar will start with a keynote lecture followed by an opportunity for people to ask questions of the speaker. After refreshments we will divide into groups for two 30-minute workshops (these are described more fully at this link). The seminar will end with a short act of worship.

Each seminar will last about three hours in total.

Who is speaking?

Each of the seminars will include a Keynote Lecture from a prominent Scientist who is also a Christian. Speakers have been chose to represent a range of different scientific disciplines and a spectrum of theological perspectives.

You can read more about the speakers by clicking on the following links:

Who should attend?

Anyone with an  interest in both science and Christianity. We ask you about your previous experience or interest in science on the registration form but are not imposing any rules on who can and can't attend.

Do I need a ticket and how do I get one?

The Keynote Lectures are in a large church and are freee open to all. Numbers are limited for the workshops that follow, however, and entrance to these will be by ticket only (£5 per seminar).

There will also be a Seminar Dinner in a local restaurant at 7pm for which the cost will be £20 (exclusive of drinks).

We will start selling tickets to workshops and dinners on 1st August on this web-page or by visiting the Church Office (open every weekday morning).

How will participants be allocated to workshops?

The workshops are limited in size and you will be asked to list your preferences for each seminar. We will then allocate participants to workshops using this information and let you know the outcome before the seminar.

Places for some of the workshops (particularly Workshops 1 & 2) are quite limited and we won't be able to offer everyone places on these for all seminars. If you would really like to attend a particular workshop for a particular seminar then we suggest that you state a preference for other workshops for other seminars.
